AJ Wakely & Sons Named Winners at the Yeovil Business Awards 2026.
On the 22nd April 2026, Matt Paterson and Richard Wakely represented the business and attended the Yeovil Business Awards. At the awards evening, we were proud to received two awards for AJ Wakely & Sons, your local funeral directors for Yeovil.
The first award we received was the Yeovil Business of the Year Award, kindly sponsored by Vertu Land Rover Yeovil. It's amazing to be recognised as the business of the year for all businesses entered from Yeovil. With strong relationships with many businesses, charities, clubs and individuals in Yeovil, this means a lot to our tea,

The second award we received at the awards ceremony was the Family Business of the Year Award, kindly sponsored by Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants. This award celebrates our history as family funeral directors, with many generations working within the business from its establishment in 1897.
