We understand that losing a loved one can be a very difficult time for many, and everyone grieves in different ways. We have now signed up to Grief Chat to give you that extra support from grief specialists and counsellors.
At AJ Wakely & Sons, we understand that grieving the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming and unpredictable. While most people expect to feel sadness and distress, the intensity and duration of emotions can often take them by suprise. You might find that others expect you to return to "normal" within a few weeks or months, yet internally, you're struggling to even define what normal means anymore.
Grief is a deeply personal experience, unique to your relationship with the person who has passed. Well-meaning people may offer comfort by saying, "Time heals all wounds," but sometimes it can feel as though life becomes even harder as the weeks and months pass.
Recognising that sometimes it's easier to talk with someone outside your immediate circle, we are now partnering with GriefChat, an online service offering professional bereavement support. GriefChat was developed by bereavement experts and allows you to connect directly with a trained bereavement counsellor who can offer a compassionate ear, help you process your grief, and guide you toward additional resources if needed.
GriefChat is a completely free service, available Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm (excluding Bank Holidays). Whether you need someone to listen or require further support, GriefChat is here to help.
