Our Lyme Regis office first started serving the community in 1976. The office is now an established part of Lyme Regis, helping to support local families, churches and charities. The office is managed by director Simon Wakely and office manager Fran Apolon - with support from Tim Nickels and Chris Legg as funeral directors.

Chris Legg,
Funeral Director
Chris joined the business in 2012 where he managed our operations department in Bridport for several years.
In 2016, Chris achieved his British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD) Diploma in Funeral Directing which helped to equip him with the necessary skills and knowledge to be a funeral director.
He works predominantly from the Lyme Regis and Bridport offices.
Tim Nickels,
Funeral Director
Tim Nickels is a long-standing, dedicated and caring member of the A.J.Wakely & Sons team.
Operating as a funeral director from Bridport and Lyme Regis for over 15 years, he has a wealth of experience and is a recognisable face within the local communities he works in.
Fran,
Office Manager
Our Lyme Regis office is managed on a daily basis by Fran Apolon.
Fran has a great deal of experience and offers a shoulder to lean on to help you through your bereavement.
A.J.Wakely & Sons adhere and uphold the National Association of Funeral Directors code of Practice, ensuring that all members of its staff are trained to recognise the code and their responsibilities to adhere to it. The office is inspected by the NAFD regularly, with the most recent NAFD inspection less than a year ago. The certificate confirming that A.J.Wakely & Sons passed the inspection is proudly displayed in the office.
